Daisy is a retired breeding dog; she has lived outside her whole life but would love a soft place to land for her remaining years. Daisy did lose her rear leg as a young puppy, but she gets along well, hops right in the car, and walks well on the leash with occasional breaks. Daisy has been dog selective at DHS but might love another companion with slow introductions. She sometimes needs slow introductions with people too, but once comfortable with you she showers you with love. Daisy went into an adopted home, but unfortunately it did not work out, because she has severe separation anxiety. Daisy will need to find a home where her owners are home regularly, can take her along with them, or have a safe secure room for her to be in. She will escape wire crates and be destructive while out. When someone is home, she is a perfect girl, with no potty issues in the house, and no chewing or bad habits. She is still learning about toys but loves to roll on a bath towel. Daisy likes being groomed and loved on; massages are her favorite! Like most Bernese, she also adores the outdoors and would spend her entire day basking in the sun if she could. Daisy needs time to adjust and have a very patient home to help her overcome her anxiety.
