Initially guarded, it took time for him to trust and embrace care. Despite his rough past marked by malnutrition and wounds, Rocky's transformation is remarkable. Now, a bundle of love, he adores people, kids, and furry friends, thriving in play and cuddles. Greeting each day with joy, he's a loyal companion, mastering commands and exuding energy on runs and at the dog park. With a loving nature and a stunning appearance, Rocky is the perfect fit for anyone seeking a devoted and affectionate four-legged friend.We believe Rocky is a 57 lb Staffy mix but with rescue its ALWAYS A GUESS!Rocky is not just a loving companion but also a well-mannered house guest, having mastered house training with no accidents indoors in the month since his rescue. While he doesn't require crating, he adapts well to it. Additionally, he adores car rides, overcoming initial fears to revel in the joy! He wouldlove to accompany his new person/people on road trips and errand runs!He walks well on leash and needs little redirection!He currently lives in a home with 2 dogs and three cats and does great! He is cat friendly and would do well in a new home with cats as long as he was introduced slowly. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $750 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
