If you love energetic, but sensitive and handler-driven dogs you're going to love Frisco. This loving boy was rescued from euthanasia at the last minute. And to this day, we can’t figure out why he was going to be put down because he is the happiest boy who loves people and dogs (both big and small). 1-year-old Frisco is around 55 lbs. and will need a dog-savvy home that can match his youthful enthusiasm and fulfill his activity needs. He walks great on the leash with a confident owner and would love to go on hikes or on road-trip adventures. He is still young and there are times when he can be a bit mouthy, but he quickly learns how to play more appropriately. Frisco needs an experienced dog owner who is committed to training and advocating for him. Speaking of play, retrieving the tennis ball and tug-of-war are two of his favorite games! And while this boy is a big lover, it can take him a minute to warm up to strangers. He gets overstimulated easily, and likely will need to meet somebody a few times before he knows you are a cool person to interact with. After a slow meeting, Frisco will be your best friend! He'd love a home with one or two people to work with him and will do well as either an only dog or with a very confident playful dog. Fill out an application if you’d like to meet this fun guy.
