Peanut is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier who came to us with her brother Liam when their owners became ill and could not care for them anymore. They are a little shy at first but extremely sweet and loving! They both love to be on your lap. We recommend reading up on the JRT breed as they are a little high strung and require lots of outlets for their energy. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together!Adoption processSo you’re ready to add a family member to your home! Well you’re at the right place! To begin, you can view our animals available for adoption online, but there’s nothing like the real thing. We welcome you to come to our shelter and spend some time getting to know our animals in person. To start off, please review the adoption guidelines below to speed up the adoption process: 1. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. 2. All adoption applications must be filled out completely. 3. An adoption application must be completed before any animal can be taken out for a visit. No animal will be taken out for a visit prior to this time. 4. You will need picture ID, with name and current address, to photo copy onto your application. 5. Any animal on a HOLD cannot be taken out for a visit until its holding time is up and it is available for adoption. 6.
