Ivy is a very sweet and loyal girl. If you have a treat in your hand, she will be your best friend. She loves to be with "her people," which means she will sit on you or sleep on you if you let her. She is fine greeting new people, and usually doesn't jump, but will lick everyone vigorously. She is fully potty trained, and enjoys being in her crate, as long as someone is in the room with her. She will sleep in the crate by herself at night, but once she gets lonely, she will let you know. She prefers to sleep with her family. Ivy would enjoy a home with no other pets, and probably be happiest in a home with teens and adults. She does not like it when other dogs try to play fight, because she was bullied by other dogs as a puppy, so her exposure to dog parks has been limited. Ivy still gets very excited when she meets rabbits and squirrels, so it is best to have a strong walking vest on her. Even though she has a small frame, she is very strong. For people who like to dress their fur baby up for special events, Ivy will play along. Ivy is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
