NOTE: KOA IS AT THE COLUSA COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER IN COLUSA, CA. GSRSV HAS NOT MET HER. WE'RE LISTING HER ALONG W/ OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS ON THIS WEBSITE TO GIVE HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. "Koa" is an approx 2-yo, petite (around 45 lbs) female GSD who is shy but loving. Koa is learning how to trust again through leashed walks, treats, and lots of love from shelter staff. She is very submissive, and is happiest cuddling with someone she trusts (as seen pictured with one of our Animal Control Officers). We have full confidence that Koa would make a fantastic companion, family dog, shot gun rider, and friend to anyone willing to give her the time she needs to continue to grow. Koa is vaccinated, dewormed, tested well around other dogs, cats, and smaller animals, and ready for her forever home. All adoptions are $10. There is a $50 spay/neuter deposit for dogs, which is fully refundable upon proof of spay/neuter. Spaying/neutering of shelter animals is required by California law; it is not optional. In California, dogs are required to have current rabies vaccinations and must be licensed in their county of residence. The Colusa County Shelter is located at 929 Bridge Street in Colusa, CA. The shelter is open from 8:00-4:00 seven days/wk, but there is often no animal control officer present to show you the dogs there.
