Currently being fostered by a kind couple who opened their door to him — literally their car door, and he jumped right in because it was below freezing outside and he’s no dummy — this former stray is currently accepting applications for his forever family. Among his many excellent qualities are his ability to run, chase and play outdoors, then quickly calm himself for a chill session indoors. Chewie loves all people, including kids of any age. He gets along with cats and other dogs who match his energy, and currently has a little buddy in his foster family’s Daschund mix. Who’s also a smart boy?! Chewie! He follows the “Enough” and “Drop it” commands, and has just about mastered “Stay” and “Come.” Among his few non-negotiables are pineapple as a treat — no thank you very much, Chewie says — and raised voices as he’s not a fan. Otherwise, this adorkable big boy will fit into just about any family. He just wants one of his very own to love. It’s pretty much all he asked Santa for this year.
