Interested adopters first fill out an adoption application.2. Adoption applications are reviewed by an Adoption Review Committee within a couple of days.3. A vet check is performed on all adoption applicants for current and past pets.4. A home visit is conducted.5. If the adoption is approved, a contract is signed, a donation made, and the pet goes home with the adopter.Shelter locationSeveral adoption shows are held every weekend in the suburban Maryland area to allow prospective owners to meet with the animals and with volunteers.
