Meet Mia! She is a 3 yr old spayed female terrier pit mix that weighs 60lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 7/21 as a stray. Mia was adopted from our shelter 5/4/22. Her owners have been contacted but have decided to not reclaim her. How anyone can resist this lovely girls charm, I cannot understand. You take one look in her sparkling eyes, and you are hooked! Despite being back at the shelter she still has her upbeat, gentle, loving personality. She loves meeting people with a smile on her face and a wagging tail. She will show everyone she knows how to sit and give paw without being asked. She walks a bit strongly on a leash when she is excited. Mia loves to give kisses and will roll over for tummy rubs. She takes treats gently and maybe house trained. Walking through the shelter with the other dogs barking at her she did not pay any attention to them. We do always ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. Mia would make a great family companion. She dreams of having her own loving family where she has a secured backyard to play in, but lives inside where she can stay cool and comfy cuddling close to her human companions.
