He hasn't been seen specifically with kids or cats but can be tested Currently Living at: Texas shelter; needs a forever home in the DC area to get his freedom flight here! That shelter routinely has 1200-1500 animals. He has been there since late July of 2022. Shelter staff love Sharpey very much. They say he and his friend Louise are the BEST. Both of them are used to evaluate other dogs. They love to run, have so much energy, and love people and dogs. They say 'Sharpey is the sweetest boy. He loves dogs and to run, to get wet and play in the mud. He walks great on leash. Loves playgroups. He is social, playful, tolerant in playgroups, and responsive to dog corrections.' Sharpey is just such a happy, joyful, playful boy - the epitome of what a dog can be. He's the type that can be running by your side as you explore the mountains, splashing across creeks with you. And also the type that makes you smile as you watch his crazy zoomies with other dogs. And also the type that you look at when he is curled up and snuggling against you, thinking to yourself - how did I get so lucky? He could be a fantastic companion to your existing dogs, the perfect playmate. He could also be the only dog in your household and meet up with pup pals at the park or doggie daycare for romps. Sharpey is one of well over a thousand animals in his shelter. But shelter staff reached out to us specifically about him and Louise because they are fabulous.
