Hi there, I'm Valley! I'm a very handsome, 60-lb, 1.5-2 year old pit bull mix with the softest fur and most soulful eyes. I was found as a stray in KCK and Melissa's got me out of the KCK shelter and into a foster home with three other dogs there. Foster mom says I am the sweetest, smartest and most loving boy. I absolutely LOVE to snuggle and cuddle with my people. My overall energy level is moderate to low and I walk great on a leash. I already know "sit" and "lay down". I learn quickly and would love to learn any tricks or skills you want to teach me! I'm kennel trained and house trained. I love to play fetch! I can be a little bossy with other dogs when I play, so I would do best as the only dog in your home or with submissive female doggie friends, but I listen well and can be redirected easily. I do need a home with at least a 6' fence or a family who will use a cable tie out or leash when I'm outside so I don't go have an adventure outside the yard. I really don't bark much (sometimes if I see a new human I don't know I might bark, or when I'm playing with a dog friend). I'm very food motivated so it's easy to teach me new things and how you want me to act with training treats. I have a high prey drive with small, wild animals when I'm outside, so I'm not sure I could live with cats. I get a little nervous around younger children, so I would do best with children who are 10 years and older. I'd do best as a the only dog or live with other compatible dogs with a very slow introduction. Foster mom has had me for over two months now so she knows a lot about me and can answer any questions you have. Please come meet me today! Tail wags and kisses, Valley.
