Hello all you amazing and fantastic people, my name is Astara! I am a super sweet girl who loves adventures and just being me! I get so eager and excited when I see my people here at the shelter. I get so excited when I see toys, but I am a bit unsure how to play with them. If you could teach me how to truly enjoy toys at home that would be great! I enjoy being loved on, though after some time I get antsy and just want to play instead, I have too much energy to spare just laying around! I know how to "sit" for treats, and boy do I love treats! I can be a bit pushy for them but otherwise I am such a good girl when it comes to earning those, and if you want to teach me anymore tricks to earn those treats I am all ears! I listen very well when you correct me, but I do have a bit of anxiety so I will need you to spend lots of time with me training me and helping me be the best dog I can be! I would not mind being an only dog, but if you do have any dogs at home, we will need to meet here at the shelter for a proper introduction to make sure we will all get along! I can be a bit nervous when it comes to meeting dogs for the first time, but give me time to warm up to any new friends and I am sure before you know it we will be best friends! I would love an active home, and if you have any kids at home, they would need to be a bit older, just so I do not run over any of the truly little ones on my hunt for adventure!
