Back in 2(xxx) xxx-xxxx I was still in college, getting my GI bill money. Wanted a dog, grew up with greyhounds and wanted one myself. Got him freshly retired from the track, not quite 5 years old yet at the time. He wasn't as affectionate as I was used to with my previous dogs, and he didn't like to hang around us like the dogs I grew up with did. He still wanted to be around us, of course, he would move into whatever room we were in and would lie down there, but there was always a bit of a distance between us. There's a pretty substantial character limit, so I'll be brief. Took care of my mom for a few years, unemployed most of it, and only last year finally got some work. Unfortunately, I spent most of that time in deep depression and have not been taking good care of poor Elias. For his health, I probably should have rehomed him more than a year ago, but I'm finally moving and I cannot take him to the new apartment. He needs someone who will actually help him, not my useless ass.
