Hi! I'm Shamrock! I'm from a local shelter. From the foster: Shamrock came to us after losing 'her person'. She is a very friendly older lady who loves meeting new people, going on shorter walks, laying near you, and being a best buddy to dogs and people alike. She will nudge your hand for some pets, does elaborate dances for her meals, and rolls on her back when content. Shamrock loves her kennel and is very quiet. She is a wonderful companion filled with so much love to share. She has met and loved children of all ages and enjoys outings. Since I arrived my foster and Veterinary care team have been trying to figure out why I didn't feel good and why I was having loose stool, I was diagnosed with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease). I will be on a prescription bland/low fat diet for the time being, but this may be something I need lifelong. I am currently working on tapering medication to see how I do but I could need some medication lifelong as well. I have an upcoming recheck exam at the SHH Vet Center to check blood work/progress. My future adopter should monitor my condition with a primary veterinarian! Overall my care is stable at this stage and my foster is so excited to find me my furever home!
