Hi, I'm Gilda! I'm a beautiful Blue Tick Coonhound who was found running loose with my brother, Murray. We stuck together when we got lost, and we will stick together now, so if you have been looking for a bonded pair of dogs, look no further! I am a sweetheart who loves people. I am a little bit more outgoing than Murray, but we are both friendly and excited to meet new friends. I love other dogs, and so does my brother! We are happy to have a playdate or go to the dog park and have a good run around with some canine companions. We have a lot of information to communicate, so if you enjoy translating dog songs, we are definitely the ones you want. Some of our greatest hits are entitled "Let's Go Out!", "Surely it is Time to Eat, Barbara!", "Hey, I See Something Interesting", and of course our unforgettable song "I Cannot Be Separated from My Brother/Sister for Another Second, Can I Speak to the Manager Please, Sir!" Coonhounds are traditionally a hunting breed who form strong bonds with their owners, and my brother and I are no different. We are both very sweet, happy, high-energy dogs who are totally devoted to each other, and who also look to people for direction (and treats since we are both food-motivated). We'd make amazing companions for hiking, jogging, or just daily walks. Once we find a scent, our focus may be difficult to break, so doing obedience, nose-work, tracking, or even agility would be great to help us form that unbreakable bond with our new owner. Although we can get a lot of energy out just by playing with each other, using our brains for structured tasks such as these can tire us out even more and take care of some of that coonhound energy! When we are done playing for the day, we are cuddly dogs who love to share affection with people.
