ABOUT KANE This sweet boy originally came to us from Alabama when he was just a little puppy! Unfortunately, he was adopted and then returned when his owner could no longer care for a pet. After returning to the shelter, he can be a little shy as he's confused why he is back with us. If you allow him a few minutes, he is quick to open up and ask for some snuggles. He doesn't turn away people loving on him, but he can also be independent when it comes to exploring! While we are not yet sure how he is with other dogs, he has previously lived in a home with children. Kane is super food motivated and always willing to learn! Some tricks that Kane knows now is, "sit", and, "paw". Could Kane be the one for you? If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
