Location: Woodbury, MN Highlights: Crate trained & sleeps through the night | great recall, unless she sees a rabbit | good with people (young kids, other dogs, adults) | comfortable on a leash | learning commands (sit/stay/off) | mostly potty-trained (still young!) Summary: Hi! I'm Butterfinger - at my core, I am gentlehearted, smart, and playful. -Gentlehearted: I love all people and dogs (inclusive of young/old kids, big/small dogs and any stranger I meet). I love having my ears and neck scratched, and love looking into humans' eyes with my gentle and beautiful eyes while you do so. -Smart: I learned how to sit in just one day, and down in one day after that - even while my sister was trying to jump around and wrestle me. I have learned how to walk well on a leash, and still get in a few sniffs! - I also love it when my foster mom takes me to open fields to have balls thrown and get to chase my sister around to play. -Playful: I love wrestling my sister and my foster family's bigger/older dog When you are ready for a break, so am I - I'll go calmly lay down, or chew a bone. Sometimes when I see a dog getting walked by our house, I bark. But, if I get to meet them, I am always really nice. I would do great with a family who loves to play - whether it comes from bigger humans, kids or other dogs. I like to take a minute before I go into new places, but if you give me that little bit of time I open right up! I have a nose for rabbits - so having a family with a fenced in yard or being on leash while rabbits are around is a good thing. However, don't worry, I love people and even when I have tried to find a rabbit, I give up pretty quick to go get some snuggles instead. I also love to take a really long nap and lay on a blanket while my foster mom works during the day. She's surprised with how relaxed and easy I am -especially as a puppy! Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
