Hi! I'm Mellie, and I'm a 1-year-old, 25-pound bundle of love and joy. Can you believe my incredible journey? I was found abandoned in a fox pen in a rural county, with my precious puppies and my dear sister Elle by my side. But let's focus on the bright side of life, shall we? I've got so much love to give and so much life to live! If there's one thing I adore, it's going on adventures. I absolutely LOVE going for walks and hikes - the scents, the sights, the sounds - it's all so fascinating! The world is like a giant playground, and I'm ready to explore it all with you. Whether it's a leisurely stroll around the neighborhood or a thrilling hike in the great outdoors, count me in! I have been told that I am fabulous on a leash! Oh, and let's talk about toys and bones. I'm a master at turning any toy into an epic playtime adventure. Chasing balls, tugging on ropes, and chewing bones are some of my favorite pastimes. It's a blast to engage in play, and it's even more fun when I have someone to share it with. While I'm all about the adventures and play, I also have a knack for settling down quickly. After all the excitement, I love to curl up by your side, lean in for a warm snuggle, and let you know that I'm here for you, ready to relax and enjoy those peaceful moments together. I am a fabulous work from home buddy and I am a quiet companion when my foster Mom works from home. Speaking of sharing, let's talk about my social skills. I'm a dog's best friend and a kid's dream companion! I absolutely ADORE other dogs - they're like long-lost buddies I can't wait to meet. And kids? Oh, I'm the gentlest soul around them. Their laughter and playfulness bring me endless happiness, and I can't help but wag my tail in excitement whenever I see them. Guess what? I've got some impressive manners under my belt. I'm both potty trained and crate trained, so you won't have to worry about any accidents. I also know basic commands such as, sit. I've been in foster care with my sweet sister, Elle. While we could be adopted separately, our foster Mom noticed that we truly thrive when we're together. My outgoing nature gives Elle the courage to step out of her shell, and Elle's calm presence brings me comfort and companionship. We're the ultimate sister team, and we're hoping to find a very special adopter who's willing to open their hearts to not just one, but two bundles of love.
