This is Dixie, a darling hound mix who was brought into PK after being found as a stray. Dixie is young – the vet thinks 7 months to a year. She currently weighs 48 lbs. Dixie is energetic, easy-going, and all around sweet. Dixie would do fine in a home with children, and she enjoys the company of other dogs. We can cat test her if requested. Dixie is still working on her leash-walking (she's a puller). Dixie currently has a skin condition resulting in some redness, irritation, and hair loss; however, she has started antibiotics and medicated baths to help treat the condition. Come on down to PK on Saturdays 12-3 pm to meet Dixie! You can also apply to adopt her at www.lvpeaceablekingdom.info.
