Meet Canelo! Canelo came to the shelter when his former owner could no longer keep him. He recently made it into our adoption center and staff are still getting to know him. Can you help this sweet boy find his fur-ever home? Check back soon for more updates--or better yet, come on down to Anti-Cruelty and meet Canelo today!Adoption processAdoption Requirements:Must be 18 years of age or older for standard adoptions. Must have valid ID Adoption fees are based on an animal's age and species. Each adoption Includes: 1. Complete veterinary exam 2. Inoculations against rabies and other diseases 3. Heartworm test for dogs /Feline leukemia test for cats 4. Spaying or neutering (it's mandatory) 5. Collar 6. Lifetime ID tag (on The Anti-Cruelty Society's registry)7. Permanent identification microchip 8. Dog leash or cat carrier 9. One month of free pet insurance for this important transitional period.Shelter locationOur adoption center at 510 N. LaSalle Avenue is open daily for walk-in adoptions from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m..
