He’s one of those dogs we can’t help but wonder how he found himself in the shelter system. He’s basically perfect! But sadly Roscoe did find himself in a shelter and as a bully breed we all know what the outcome would have been if he’d stayed. Pitties are among the breeds most euthanized in shelters nationwide. Roscoe, even though he’s an ambassador for his breed, faced death simply because of the way he looked. We have dedicated ourselves to speaking out against that stigma and showing society the good these dogs can accomplish. Roscoe will get his opportunity to shine in our Pawsitive Change Prison program at Victorville women’s prison. Already a prison favorite Roscoe’s balanced temperament will help the more insecure dogs adjust and build their confidence. He’ll pick up basic obedience skills to add to his amazing personality and our hope is that his presence in the program and the skills he learns will help him find that perfect home. Roscoe is dog friendly, human friendly and pretty much perfect in every way. Pitties don’t get many chances. Roscoe is here to prove the myths wrong! Good dogs come in all shapes and sizes and breed should never come into the equation.
