Adopt Nova a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) / Mixed dog in Defiance

Nova's here and ready to steal your heart!This pretty girl was recently surrendered after she wasn't being cared for very well by her previous owner. Nova is still a little on the thin side and is working on gaining weight back and getting healthy but she's already doing SO MUCH better! We do have to give her meals in a slow-feeder though, she will try to gobble up her food as fast as we placed her bowl down. Nova is a rambunctious little ball of fun and loves to zoom around full speed in the back yard. She's still uncomfortable and uncoordinated on leash and has the tendency to pull or stop and not move at all. But we think she'll get over that pretty quickly with some training confidence building. We aren't sure if Nova has ever been around other animals but she's seems interested in making friends with the other dogs out back...she just comes on a little strong. Nova can be scared with new people at first and usually takes a little coaxing and buttering up when meeting people. We do not know if she's been around kids or what ages. Nova is a super special pup and we know she's going to make someone an AWESOME companion!
