Koda is a large breed mix. He is full of energy and always wants belly and chest rubs. He is full of life and love. He just wants to share that love with the right family. He was found as a stray after Hurricane Ida and was taken in to a loving home. His history is unknown, but many said he was mistreated and malnourished. After a couple of months, his owners were finally able to get him back to proper health. Unfortunately, in December, Koda and his previous owner moved to Louisiana, but Koda couldn't adjust properly. His owners tried everything, even training, but they realized that they weren't able to give him what he needed. Koda's fast and loves to show off his speed by doing zoomies in the yard. He's potty trained and will let you know when he has to go out by being vocal or walking to the door. He is leash and kennel trained as well. He adores cats and most cats love him. He'll play chase with cats but never once has harmed one. He does get along with other dogs, but mainly female dogs because he is submissive and sometimes scared. He has been around kids while on walks and has never been rough or aggressive with them. He loves attention and cuddles. His favorite position to sleep in is right in the middle of the bed, on his back with his arms high in the air. Koda is food driven and can sit, stay and shake. He never understood the "down" command. He's not a fan of bones, but he loves plush toys. Get ready for fluff everywhere! He doesn't chew items around the house such as furniture and clothes. He's vocal when he wants attention and gives out little grunts and groans when he's satisfied with the attention you give him. Koda's high energy and very playful so he would love a yard and/or someone who can run around with him but at the end of the day, all he wants is to sit on the couch with his owner(s) and cuddle. He has been through a lot in his life, yet all he wants to do is show his love and spunkiness to his new family. He will love you and love you hard. He's a good, beautiful boy with a good, beautiful heart.
