Skip really caught our eye in a California shelter with his handsome puppy face and stunning fawn coat. Like so many puppies in shelters, Skip needed and exit plan and we decided he would be perfect to join our program! - 5 months old and 32lbs - Possibly a German Shepherd/Lab mix - Social with people and very sweet - Great with other dogs and has a really fun time playing - Fostered with cats but seems a little too interested in chasing them in a playful way. We are recommending no cats for Skip. - Likely good with kiddos, he has a soft, happy temperament - Walks nice on leash and no reactivity observed during outings to stores and parks and seeing other reactive dogs. - Learning that cars take him on fun adventures but is currently a little nervous on car rides - Crate training is coming along - Loves his toys, especially tugs and rope toys. He will toss them up in the air and happily entertain himself. Skip is fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes his neuter surgery on July 16th at our partner vet clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon. It also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin. $250 adoption feeFostered in Vancouver, Washington APPLY TO ADOPT SKIP: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORGAdoption processWe are a volunteer run organization and try our best to return correspondence promptly, however sometimes there are delays. We appreciate your patience. The first step to meeting one of our dogs is to fill out an adoption application at www.agavedogs.com. Once we receive your adoption application we will call you to discuss what dog might be the best match for you. We will connect you with the foster home who has the dog you are interested in adopting. Once you meet the dog, let us know if it is a love match and if you would like to adopt the dog. We will email you an adoption agreement to complete and return. Our adoption fees range from waived entirely to $550 depending on the dog, age, breed and it's behaviors. Our work to save dogs is supported by our adoption fees and donations. Enjoy your new dog and please don't hesitate to contact us with questions or updates. We love happy photo updates!Shelter locationAll of our dogs are in foster homes that help them to learn to be good house guests. Our foster dogs thrive in a home environment rather than a scary shelter where they would become stressed. Plus we gain lots of good information about the dog's personalities in a foster home setting. All foster homes are located within 45 minutes of Portland, Oregon. Once we receive your adoption application and chat with you, we will provide you the foster home's contact information that has the dog you're interested in meeting.
