Hello there, my name is Lionel and I am a lovable 7-month-old Labrador Retriever/Hound mix. I weigh approximately 38 lbs and was rescued by Home for Good from living outside. My mom was a stray her whole life, and I was so afraid that I would end up in the same situation. Fortunately, Home for Good rescued not only me and my three siblings but also my mom. Now we all feel safe and loved, and are discovering how much we enjoy being around people. I really like my doggie friends. Their confidence helps my true personality shine. I would love to be adopted by a family with another dog who can help me come out of my shell and bring out the best in me. I am also a big fan of pools - I absolutely love playing in them with my furry friends! I love splashing the water with my paws. I enjoy toys, too, but there's just something special about a good splash in a pool. I'm also a big snuggle fan. I didn't know humans were so good at cuddles. They give the best belly rubs and kisses. When I'm not hanging out by the pool, I do enjoy playing with toys, especially the squeaky ones. I'm learning how to play fetch and I'm getting better every day, soon I'll be a pro. I would do well in a home with cats and older children who are patient with me as I continue to grow and gain confidence. I'm getting braver every day and I've been told my personality is truly starting to show! I'm doing very well with my leash walking skills, and house training, and am already crate-trained. I also absolutely love treats and mealtime. Treats help me when I'm training, which I love. I'm very smart and eager to learn.
