Meet Meeks. This friendly little guy was seen running around a local state park for weeks. Finally, animal control was able to pick him up. No one ever claimed him and now he is looking for a new home. Meeks gets along with other dogs and is very friendly. We do not know what he thinks about cats. He has a very unusual bark - sort of like a seal. Meeks is about 3 years old and 28 lb pounds. Please help this beautiful boy find his new home. Update: Meeks tested positive for Anaplasmosis, another tick borne disease similar to Lyme's. The treatment is the same and so he is on the usual course of antibiotic. He is very doing well and his antibiotic will be sent home with his new family for completion. Meeks is currently available for adoption. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
