Activity Level: Medium-High Noise Level: Low Good with Dogs: Probably Good with Cats: Probably Good with Kids: Probably Good with Strangers: Yes Potty Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Shedding: Minimal About King: Hi, I'm King, a terrier mix with wiry fur. I don't shed much as long as I'm brushed regularly, and I'm quite well-behaved during bath time. I love playing all day long, but when the sun goes down, I turn into a cuddly lap dog. I'm a clever fellow, and I quickly pick up on any new training exercises you give me. When I want attention, I'll bring you a toy, but I'm working on some signals for specific needs like going out or getting my food and water refilled. I figured out that "Dog Brick" puzzle feeder in no time - it's quite fun! But because I eat quickly, I think a slow feeder or puzzle feeder would be a great idea. Playing is my absolute favorite thing to do, especially fetch. I enjoy teasing you by dropping the ball and snatching it away as you reach for it. Then I'll roll the ball towards you, signaling that I want you to throw it again. It's all about having fun together, and you can tell from the big smile on my face. I'm also strong and love playing tug-of-war with a rope toy, but don't worry, I'm always careful not to nip your fingers. I'm a gentle guy, especially when playing tug-of-war, I'm careful not to harm anyone. Toys are great, but I'm sometimes a chewer. Heavy-duty ropes and solid rubber balls are awesome, but tennis balls and lighter ropes don't last long with me. Thankfully, I know what's not a dog toy, so no worries about furniture getting destroyed. I've met some new friends, and though I was a bit anxious and noisy at first, once I got some treats and we all settled down, I had a great time. I even tried sitting on their laps, and after a few rounds of fetch, we became friends for life! I met a new cat friend. Although I was a true gentleman, the cat didn't seem to be very fond of me, so we haven't had much contact. However, I think I'd be okay with other animals. I love chatting with the neighbors' dogs and chickens through the fence, but when called, I always return. I've been working on crate training, and I'm doing quite well. At bedtime, I happily go into my crate. During the day, if I need to be in my crate for some reason, I'm usually cooperative, but if it happens too frequently or I need a potty break first, I might resist a bit. When that happens, instead of going to my crate, I'll curl up on the couch and put on my best "but I'm being good" face. But once you clip on a leash, I'll follow you to my crate. I'm mostly potty trained, but I sometimes get anxious when separated, which results in a little accident. However, I'm making progress and gaining confidence. My dream home would have a fenced-in yard and a loving family who enjoys playing fetch with me!
