Ruben is a sweetie pie goofball who is learning what it's like to live in a home, go on walks and play! While he's 3 years old, he is quite puppy like in his demeanor, galloping around like a bunny chasing is ball, and doing somersaults. Ruben likes human company and enjoys everyone. He gave a 3 year old a kiss! He likes attention! He's great with meeting new people. He will come up to say hello, tail wagging. He will not jump on people either. Ruben wants to be part of the action and likes people around him even if they aren't actively engaging - but he won't protest if you throw him his ball or tug of war toy! He will often come up to you to investigate what you are doing. Chopping carrots? Woof! He'd like to try one please (verdict: not a fan of raw carrots yet). All joking aside, he is not picky with his food. He heartily eats his meal and loves to try new treats; No Hide chews are his favorite right now, with crunchy treats at a close second. He's a good walker and can easily walk a mile and a half on a not-too-hot day. His pace is moderate (he's not a real New Yorker quite yet) and he appreciates the exercise. Ruben trots along happily with a sniff here and there, always does his business outside (grass preferred), and likes to say hello to all dogs great and small on the walk. He is still learning about NYC noises like the ambulance but he may pause and take it in stride. Ruben is endearing and makes people smile on our walks. Did he get a summer cut? Is he part lion? He also likes to show off his dark blue tongue which makes me and everyone smile.
