Meet Chikee, an extremely friendly and social dachshund and chihuahua mix! Chikee is 4 years old and was surrendered to PK after her mama was hurt and could no longer care for her. Chikee is incredibly outgoing with both people and other dogs. She’s confident, playful, and affectionate. She’s even good around cats! Chikee hasn’t spent much time around children, but we think she’d be fine around respectful children (she doesn’t love having her paws handled). Chikee is housetrained. Some instances may require a home inspection. We require a meet and greet with all household members and resident dogs present at the shelter. The adoption fees are $175 to $400 ($150 for large senior dogs, $175 for small senior dogs, $275 for adults, $350 for puppies six months to one year, $400 for puppies under six months). FOR KITTENS ...Potential adopters will need to complete a Kitten Application and provide proof of vaccinations and spay/neuter for other animals living in the home. Renter must also provide a copy of their rental agreement showing pet allowance. The adoption fee is $130 for a DSH kitten, $160 for a DLH, specialty and purebred kittens. All kittens are flea treated, wormed, leukemia tested, and are up to date on shots as appropriate for their age. Adopter is responsible for remaining vaccines.
