Meet Drako! Drako is a total goofball and he has the smushiest face around. With the tongue of a chow, shar pei wrinkles, and perhaps some shepherd, this boy is a true mix up and he has a little of everything in him. He gets very attached to his humans and loves nothing more than jumping up to rest his paws against your chest and soaking in all of the love and returning it ten times over. Drako enjoys rolling around with his toys and sometimes you can even catch him lying on his back, holding his toy above his head with his paws and very gently nibbling on it. He loves when you throw his toys in the air and he does amazing leaps to catch them before they hit the ground. There aren't many games that Drako doesn't enjoy! He is as sweet and playful as they come, but he does deal with a lot of generalized anxiety that makes it hard for him to really be himself when he's in a new place or meeting new people. And, to be honest, it is endearing because Drako is a precious baby meant to be protected from the world. He needs a quiet home and neighborhood to settle into but a family who can satisfy his high energy. A yard is a must simply because walks are just a little too scary to handle at the moment. He has lived with cats before and did well but would prefer to be the only dog in the house. *Drako is in our special adoption program, where we provide additional counseling for in-home success.
