She is treat-motivated, making training sessions enjoyable and effective.Oreo enjoys playing in water and relishes car rides, making her an ideal adventure buddy for outdoor enthusiasts.She is possibly part heeler and she has heading tendencies, so she would not be suitable for a home with small children. She is also a bit strong, which could be challenging in a household with small children. However, with proper training and guidance, she can thrive in the right environment.Adoption processWe encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone. Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
