I'm Daya, I came to HSMC as a stray. I was really scared and unsure of things, I didn't understand why I was coming here and not going back home. Staff assured me it was okay and they would try to find my home. A lot of time went by, I kept waiting and my family never showed up. In the meantime, staff kept trying to make friends with me and I began to trust them. I've realized my family isn't coming for me, so here I am, ready to find a new family to love me. I am an energetic and happy girl. I love my people once I get comfortable with them. I think I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I might take some time to warm up, but I think in time we can become the best of friends. Adoption processPre adoption application required, including references, and proof of home ownership or rental permission forthe pet in question. All members of the household are required to visit the pet prior to adoption. In the case of dogs, other dogs in the household must meet potential new dog. Selections are not made on a first come basis, but an overall likelihood of a successful placement based on the application information and meetings.
