Val is a 92 pound gentle giant 💕 He loves pets and back scratches, and gives you the biggest smile while you shower him with affection. He may even sneak in some kisses if you let him. Val is hanging out in a staff members office and he is friendly and wiggly with every person that he meets. He likes to snuggle up to you and lean in to ask for some pets before you leave the office. Once he gets out of the kennel and settles into his walk, he's a good boy on his leash. He has a very solid "sit." He is also housebroken, and sleeps in his crate at night.Val may be 9 years old, but don't let his age fool you! At a recent adoption event most people were in disbelief, and thought he was much younger ✨ His mindset and body is that of a young, spry, guy and he's ready to prove just how much spring he still has in his step. He's old enough to know all the things you wish a puppy already knew. 🐶 Val prefers gentle pup playmates, and requests to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match. Come to BARCS to meet Val or one of his friends! He is residing in the back hallway (not in one of the main kennel rooms), so please ask to meet him - it's lonely back there!
