I don't even want to write this post because my heart is shattering into a million pieces and feel like I am losing a piece of me. I have always been one that takes in an animal with the commitment they are with me until their last breath and I dont take that lightly. Please no judgment or negative comments because I have thought of them all myself and dont need that. It is with very heavy heart that we need to rehome Kade. My household changed on the 24th. Him and Copper (15lb dachshund) got into a fight. Kade is 99lbs, so he came out on top. We thought we knew what happened in which we could keep it from happening but on the 26th it happened again. We have been keeping them separated nearly 7 months with no improvement despite trying every avenue. He requires meds and a special diet due to allergies and belly issues. He is dog reactive outside the home as well. He will be 7 in March. He is a sweet boy, but needs an experienced handler given his needs and past.
