Meet Leon Bridges, the gentle giant! Leon is as big as he is sweet and gentle! He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly, and is very friendly once he knows you. He loves going for a walk on the trails at an easy pace. He walks very nicely on the leash, and will stay next to you. (Fair warning - he will pull for squirrels!) He is always happy to go out, he loves to sniff and is very curious. Leon knows "sit" and "down".His former owner described him as a lovable, cuddly sweetheart. He enjoys toys, and loves fetch and playing tug! He is housetrained, and can be kenneled. He also has been exposed to children in a home. But no cats please!Leon went on a Dog's Day Out adventure with a volunteer, and he was friendly and outgoing. He enjoyed sticking his snoot out the window for some fresh air on the car ride to Sawmill Park, and was a well-behaved passenger. He was a good boy on his walk, and listened well. He enjoyed exploring and investigating all the good smells. After his walk he discovered the pure joy of a pup cup, and he will never forget it! He gave lots of kisses and snuggles in appreciation. Maybe you can treat this happy gentleman to a lifetime of walks and pup cups?Leon has met other dog pals at BARCS and he is uncomfortable, he would prefer to be your only dog in a home.
