Date of Birth February 14, 2020 This past momma dog was rescued from the breeding life with the Amish. Pumping out litter after litter for several years for profit. Living in a small shed with little positive human interaction this girl now wants to live the life she has missed out on. Zakara is an energetic and happy Husky who wants to explore her world...that is where safety measures will need to be put in place by her new family. The breed is born to run and Zakara will live up to that given the chance. When a small group of rescue volunteers went to rescue (and pay) for another Husky Zakara was chained to an Amish buggy and we were asked if we wanted her also...how could we say no to this beauty. We surely couldn't leave her behind. That is where "Z's" journey begins. Later on rescue day we took both Z and Luna to the vet for basic medical care as they had nothing (just pumping out litter after litter) and Z tested positive for Heartworm. OH NO! Our poor puppy mill momma. Z has since completed her treatment and is now ready for her HAPPY EVER AFTER. This happy Husky is so deserving of a loving Husky savvy home and we are excited to see her thrive with a family of her very own. Her friend Luna has been adopted and that makes our hearts full to see her living the life that she was born to...now it's Z's turn. Could that be YOU?
