Sophia was born around April 22, 2023 and weighs about 40 pounds. Sophia and 3 other dogs were found in Franklinville and when no one came looking for them the dog control officer reached out to us and we were happy to help. The four dogs seem to be related and all have the same initial shyness that is quickly dissipating. It's rather obvious they didn't have a great start to life but that's all behind them now and they are eager to learn and love. They rode well in the car on the ride here and have been wonderful with the other dogs. Another confident dog in the home will be beneficial for Sophia's adjustment and confidence going forward. We have learned that she is a very good swimmer. Children should be fine if they are respectful. She is a quiet girl which we love. She has done well on outings and adventures - just a lovely social little girl! The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY. Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list.
