Stitch Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Stitch is a stunning Australian cattle dog, weighing about 45 lbs. He turns 2 in May and would love to celebrate his birthday with his new family. Like many people, Stitch gets anxious when meeting new people & going to new places & prefers slow introductions. But once he knows he’s safe, he warms up quickly and is a loyal, loving companion. While he has lived with another dog before & enjoys playing with dogs, we feel Stitch would prefer to be an only pet. He loves receiving all the attention from people! Older kids would be best, as little ones can make him nervous.Given his breed, he loves going on long walks & hikes and requires a fair amount of physical & mental stimulation. He walks well on a leash & is great in the car.Stitch is fully house trained, neutured & utd on his vaccinations. He does not like being crated at all & will injure himself trying to get out. Fortunately, a crate is not needed, as he is nondestructive in the home.Stitch is so excited to become part of your family adventures!
