She goes in there well with a treat and is quiet throughout the night. She also does well when we leave the house and put her in there, but she is always very excited to get out.Shedding? Minimal About Stormie: Hi, my name is Stormie! I am almost 2 years old, but don't let that fool you I still have my puppy energy! I took a super long car ride (from Texas) to get to my foster home. Life is pretty great now though, I start out my mornings by hearing my foster parents alarm go off and then barking at them to make sure they don't snooze it. Once they get up, they let me out of my kennel and we go outside. I run into the yard as fast as I possibly can and sometimes my back legs can't keep up with my front ones and they do a little hop to keep up. I do my necessary business in the yard and then go in to get my breakfast. I get sooo excited for food that I try to jump up to see what's on the counter, but I get in trouble for that so then I remember that I am supposed to sit while I wait for food (I really try to remember those good manners). I usually go on two walks a day, I have been getting better about walking on a leash, but I like to follow wherever my nose takes me, and don't even get me started on those dang squirrels. Besides the walks though, I usually sleep the rest of the day while my foster mom works from home. After work though, the party begins. We usually go out in the yard where all the other neighborhood dogs are out, and we run up and down the fence. If other dogs aren't out, I just sniff around the yard to see if I can find any good snacks. My (dog) foster brother and I also like to wrestle in the yard (and in the house). I try to bring him toys so that we can play tug of war together, but he gets a little confused on how to do that. I'm still trying to teach him. After going outside, we have dinner and then I like to play with my foster dad. I get him to play by lying next to him on my back where he obviously goes to give my belly rubs and then he gets stuck in my trap. I lock my legs around him and wrestle with his arm. I usually get pretty tired after that, so we spend the rest of the evening cuddling and watching TV. Cuddling on the couch and getting belly rubs while I sleep is my favorite thing! I really love every person and dog that I meet, and I am so excited to see what my forever family will be like. I would love another dog in the home or even kids that I can run around with. I would do best in a home where there aren't shared walls since I will bark if I need to alert you of something or if I am ready to be let out of my kennel. I would also really enjoy a fenced in yard to properly facilitate my zoomies, but for the most part I could fit in anywhere! Stormie is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age.
