My name is Emjay. I am a very beautiful almost 7-month-old Lab/Spaniel mix. I weigh 38 lbs and my birthday is 10/23/2023. I will be a medium size dog. I am up to date on shots and am spayed. I was adopted to a loving family who taught me so much. Sadly, I am a runner and would do best with a fenced yard. They felt that I should go to another family that will love me the same but that can give me a fenced yard so I can run around and maybe a fur sibling. I am in a foster home now and have foster fur siblings and enjoy running and playing with them. Lab/Spaniel mix dogs are very smart, loyal, loving, and are energetic. I would do great with an active family as I am a high energy pup. I enjoy running and playing. Of course, I also enjoy my one on one snuggle time and giving kisses. I am house trained, crate trained, and know some commands such as sit, down, paw. I love kids but due to me getting excited I would do best with kids over the age of 6. The adoption fee may vary. We are always in need of fosters and the help is greatly appreciated. Most of the time our dogs only need a foster for one or two nights until the adopter comes to officially adopt the dog. Our dogs and puppies are medically treated and screened at our West Virginia shelter until they are transported here, so we rely greatly on fosters because we do not have a facility.Shelter locationWe frequently host adoption events at the PetSmart in Stroudsburg, PA at 400 Shoppes Stroud on Route 611. Our events are listed on our website's "Events" page. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Past and Future Events: The month of October 2014 we will be holding an ornament sale at Pet Supplies Plus on Route 611 in Stroudsburg, PA. If you stop by the store they will be selling oraments for a donation to help pay for Hannah's new wheelchair. Hannah is having issues with curvature of the spine and a newly designed wheelchair is necessary. The cost of it is between $800 and $1000. The last time we did an ornament drive at PSP we raised $800 thanks to the kindness and generousity of many incredible people. We will be holding an adoption event at the store on Sunday, October 19, with lots of adorable puppies. Hannah will be there to meet and thank people as well so please come to see us!
