Goofy is just what his name says, GOOFY! Goofy was pulled from LMAS because he needed longer to get a home because of his special needs. Shelter life wasn't good for Goofy, he never adjusted right. Sometimes he is scared and nervous. He doesn't get along well with other dogs, even though he came to the shelter with two others. He might be able to co-exsist with selective dogs. He has been around cats, as long as they are just passing by, he is fine, if they hiss or try to play patty-cakes, he becomes a little aggressive. He is hesitant about strangers but seems to warm up very quickly. We believe everything is fear based. With time and love, we will be a wonderful dog!! He's already warmed up in his current foster home. He follows his foster moms everywhere and gets so excited to see them. He gives so many kisses and he's working on hugging! He doesn't enjoy a crate very much but has done very well hanging out in the guest room. He also does a half smile when he gets excited!!Adoption processThe first step to the adoption process is to fill out an application. Once approved we will set up a meet and greet with the animal and all those living in the household include current pets to insure that everyone is a good fit. A home visit may also be required before adoptions are completed. We are an all-volunteer organization so it may take a couple of days to return an e-mail.
