Cantaloupe was picked up as a stray; he came to us from the shelter as he was not doing well there. He was frightened to the point of cowering in the corner of his dog run. He's been with his foster for two weeks and is still leery of human contact. He loves other dogs and plays well with them but isn't sure about people. He's potty trained and kenneled at night; no accidents in the kennel or in the house. He's fed in his kennel and has a great appetite; he's 19 lbs and one year old.Do you have the time and love to give this boy a second chance? He wants to trust humans again but will need your help to become the best dog he can be. Email XXXX@gmail.com to set up a meet with him.Adoption processWe have an application process, a yard check, a meet and greet with any existing animals, and a contract. Our adoption fees are anywhere from $150 - $300 depending on the age of the animal and the amount of medical treatment we provided for the animal prior to going up for adoption. We also have a Senior for Seniors program where we offer a significant discount to any senior citizen wishing to adopt a dog or cat over the age of 7. We serve Las Vegas, Nevada and Henderson, Nevada. We may adopt to a neighboring state, however we do not transport our animals. The adopter must come to Las Vegas to meet the animal prior to adoption.Shelter locationWe have adoption events every Sunday at the Petco located at 8495 W. Warm Springs Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89113. We are there from 12 - 3. If there is an animal you are interested in meeting, please email us so we can ensure they will be present at the event. We have close to 60 animals at all times, and not all are able to attend our event.
