She’s shy and wary of strangers at first, but once she warms up to you, she’ll be your loyal friend for life and constant shadow. Gia is a senior lady with plenty of love and life to give her family. As expected with her age, she also has arthritis which means that she can’t take as long a walk as her heart desires. And, her vision isn’t as sharp in dark or low light situations which means she’ll be a little cautious entering new places or meeting new people. Gia is a sweet, affectionate and gentle dog. She has a calm and relaxed demeanor. She loves to snuggle with her human on the couch as she winds down for the evening. And…she’ll do anything for a hotdog or a tasty chicken treat, or anything off your plate, really. Gia enjoys dinner time with gusto! And, if you like taking scenic car rides, she would love to be your co-pilot. She is a well-behaved traveler. Gia would do best in a home with someone who has experience caring for senior dogs with arthritis, and who is willing to give her the extra patience and time it takes to earn her trust and respect her boundaries.
