Beagle Dog for Adoption in Valrico, Florida, 33595 USNickname: Captain III Posted Breed: Beagle. Adoption Fee: $200.00. Captain is a leisurely, lazy kind of guy, and he is gentle and affectionate. He will readily approach strangers with a gentle wag of his tail and a sweet expression on his face. Captain loves to sit on furniture, but he's a good listener and will get down when asked to. He loves car rides and loves his harness being put on because he knows he's going for a car ride. He's interested in other dogs, but not a fan of puppies and a little scared of cats. He LOVED the 8 year old boy in his MS foster home and would sit and let him read to him. Captain has been treated for heartworms and did very well. We have discovered however that he has cataracts in both eyes and his vision is very limited. We are scheduled for a cardiology consult as a requirement to determine eligibility for cataract surgery. If we can do this for him he will regain normal vision in both eyes! We should have more answers in late June.
