I am a 3 year old Great Pyrenees/Catahoula Leopard mix. I may be a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll see my friendly side. I'm quite independent, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy company. I just need a moment to warm up to new faces. Once I do, I promise you'll see how much love I have to give. I've got a heart full of affection just waiting to be shared with a family that will give me a chance. Adopting me won't just change my life, it'll add a loyal, loving companion to yours. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at .polkcountyhumanesociety/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to infopolkcountyhumanesociety. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets!
