Zena is an 18 month old purebred German Shepherd Dog who was rescued from a bad situation in Memphis last summer. Zena has since been in her GSD-loving foster home where socialization and training have continued and where she enjoys the company of 2 other GSDs. Initially, Zena is wary of strangers but warms up quickly; in her video you can see she was friendly and trusting with the 2 strangers after about 5 minutes! Loving, loyal, good guard dog, typical GSD temperament. Great with other dogs and would enjoy a dog buddy in her new home. Great with kids and is very gentle with the young grandchildren who visit. Not cat tested. Medium energy level outside, quiet and well-mannered in the house. Crate trained and housebroken. Obeys basic commands. Loves to be with her people. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 85 pounds. Zena’s ideal adopter will have GSD experience and the time/motivation to continue her training and socialization so she can reach her full potential. Beautiful young GSD will make a wonderful companion (and jogging partner) for an active family who loves the breed. To adopt please fill out an adoption application.
