Oh my gosh, you can adopt Kenny! Kenny is an outgoing, friendly dog who would love to find some humans who appreciate his witty commentary on life and are just as active as he is.OTHER PETS: Kenny is a very outgoing dog who isn't sure how to greet other dogs. He is friendly, but some dogs might respond unfavorably to his over the top introduction style. As with all our dogs, Kenny should meet any dogs he would be living with prior to adoption. [Case by Case (Must Meet First)]OWNER EXPERIENCE: Huskies are high energy, high intelligence dogs who can get into a lot of trouble if left to entertain themselves. Someone with experience with high energy, intelligent dogs would be the best fit for Kenny. [Some Experience] KIDS: Kenny is friendly and outgoing but has some sensitive areas of his body and can be intense about his food. He would do best living with humans who are older and able to remember his eccentricities.[13+ (Must Meet First)]ACTIVITY LEVEL: A tired husky is a happy husky! Kenny will need multiple longer walks a day in order to ensure he has appropriate ways to burn off his energy. Training will open up lots of activity doors for Kenny: agility, lure coursing, fly ball, hiking, camping, dock diving, etc. Once Kenny learns how to interact appropriately with other dogs, doggy daycare could potentially be an activity as well. [Olympic Athlete]VETERINARY CARE: [Routine] LEVEL OF TRAINING NEEDED: Positive reinforcement training will help Kenny bond with his new owner, improve his confidence, learn his basic commands and behavorial expectations. Further activity-specific training and a focus on behavorial expectations regarding other dogs would only have further benefits. [Moderate] GROOMING: Huskies shed year round and blow their coats twice a year; daily brushing will help prevent matting in Kenny's coat and many owners get a professional grooming around the time the coat is blown to ensure as much hair as possible is removed.
