Stryder was a stray I adopted from the shelter last September. He is a sweet, snuggly boy that loves his people. We have worked on his separation anxiety through training and medication. Being a Pyrenees mix he has a strong protective streak so he is slow to warm up to new people but treats are an excellent way to his heart. He loves his cats and his dog sister. Stryder loves to play and figure out food puzzles. He goes to doggie daycare sometimes and has a blast playing with other dogs.We’re finding a more appropriate home for his protective nature. We were working on strangers coming into the house. We foster animals frequently and Stryder adores all the small animals but has recently become too protective. The tipping point was when he mouthed my son for coming into the foster room. Fortunately there were no injuries. but now my 8 year old is scared of him.Stryder will go home with his anxiety medications, Reconcile and Trazodone, as well as a slow feeder bowl and a Kuranda bed.
