Adopt Maggie Mae a Black - with Tan, Yellow or Fawn Cocker Spaniel / Mixed dog

Location:
Tulsa, OK
Description:

Well Well, looks like we have another small dog in our rescue. If you have been wanting to adopt from us but cannot squeeze in another Pyrabear...this is your time to shine with a fluffy butt of your very own! Do you know what the great thing about smaller dogs is? You can always find a spot for them. For example, if your couch is already full of Pyrabears, miss Maggie can and will happily sit in your lap. If your kitchen looks like a dog bomb went off when you cook, Maggie can either hang out under the bigger dogs or plop down right onto your feet. If you don't have enough hands to wrap the leash around during walks, miss Maggie can easily be clipped to one of the bigger dogs and just walk with them...then again Maggie is pretty lazy so getting her to actually want to go on a walk may be an adventure in itself! Yep, this girl is about as calm as they come. Maggie has two modes. Nap mode and Attention mode. If she isn't napping she is on the hunt for a lap to plop down on or a person to be as close to as possible. And if there is no one around to give her attention then she will happily pass the hours by with a good nap on the couch until someone is ready to treat and dote over her like the princess she is again! Maggie Mae is a 6-year-old, 22lb female Cocker Spaniel. I told you she was small! ;) Maggie Mae does well with other dogs and kids. She has no interest in playing anymore or being anyone's main source of entertainment. She loves gentle pets and loving, but has no interest in running around like a baphoon, throwing toys around like a dork, or getting down and dirty with the other dogs. Nope, this girl is waaaaay too proper for all that nonsense. She will happily hop up on her perch(the couch), overlook her subjects and silently judge them. Now, while we joke about how much Maggie loves her naps...she still wants to be part of the action. If her people are outside, she will happily explore the yard and maybe even do some light cardio before plopping down near her people's feet and just hanging out. She is also a big advocate of the "waiting for her people to get home club" and can often be found waiting and looking out the front door for her family to return. Sometimes she feels the urge to go find herself a bone from the toy box but after a few licks, she decides better of it and will leave it behind in favor of the couch and another trip to dreamworld. Maggie Mae believes in order so she has no problem keeping a clean house, leaving your things alone, and making sure she doesn't cause a ruckus. All she asks in return is that you allow her couch privileges and if not...well good luck to you because that and the bed are must have's for this girl. Even if the bed is really tall...Maggie doesn't care. She loves her people and she loves soft places so there is no way a little thing like "height" is going to keep her from snuggling with her people! Maggie can easily be trusted to free-roam the house and has no interest in messing with your belongings. However, Maggie thinks that sharing is caring when it comes to food and has no problem cleaning up after you when you leave food items out. She is all about being helpful and ensuring that any left-out food doesn't go bad and giving you the best puppy dog eyes around during mealtime. Overall, Maggie Mae is a super sweet and loving girl who only wishes to please her people....and nap. It would seem that she does have some hearing loss, but if you already have a partner that has "selective hearing" or a Pyrabear that always seems to be deaf until he hears a food wrapper from a mile away...then Maggie Mae will fit right in! Maggie Mae would probably enjoy short walks around the neighborhood with her new family, and even some car rides if she gets to take a nice dog bed along and some treats(you know....for moral support). She would not however like being taken all over town or going on long hikes. She is very much a messy bun, always in her PJs binging her favorite TV shows all day kind of girl. So, what do you say? Think Maggie Mae is the girl for you? Ready to sneak her past your partner(she is so small it will probably take at least a week for them to notice)....errr I mean welcome her to your family? Then, apply for her today! 📍 Pickup Location: Yukon, OK 📝 Adoption App: https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3
