Thor Update: Thor will need a new foster after June 1st due to issues with a resident dog, no fault of his own. He initially had some issues with separation anxiety but have gotten that under control. Per Foster he is a sweet senior who just wants love and attention (not happy having to be rotated). If you are able to help Thor please reach out! Hello future soul mate! I'm Thor! Don't let my salt and pepper muzzle fool you. I’m a silvering fox (…well dog) but I am active, healthy and even a little full of myself at times. I lost my home after my original family went through an unforeseen tragedy and I was left without food or water for a week. I was very depressed for a long time and lived in a kennel for a while. I’m in a foster home now and its great! It took time for me to adjust to living in a new home. I was sooooo excited at first!!!!! Once I got past my nervous energy, everyone started seeing what a sweet boy I really am. My favorite hobbies? I like rolling in the grass, riding in the car, walks, yup-walks and more walks along with snuggling. It is my favorite “downtime” thing to do. Oh and I love to keep watch out the window. If you are busy, I am happy just to be around and watch, or nap, while you do human things. I have been working hard on my manners since I have been with foster Mom. I’ve learned to be crated. I really don't like it but a tasty treat will get me inside and once I'm in its naptime. I walk like a gentleman on the leash, but I do get excited seeing other dogs. I started to learn leave-it. I’m okay with leave-it, but I am a pro at sitting and waiting for my dinner. Got that one down pat. I can be a little stubborn at times but I do well with firm but gentle verbal correction. What am I looking for in a home? I would prefer to be an only dog, so I can have all the attention. I get along with a lot of other dogs but not every dog. I have instantly loved every human female I have ever met, but not all men. I do have some favorite men in my life though. I just need to go slow with new guys. Trust is really important to me. My biggest need is to have a the security of a home and humans that give me love and attention. If you want a dog that will offer you his friendship and love for life. I’m your guy!
